Whether it’s formal or informal; coaching, training, workshop, course, or conference; professional learning is invaluable in order for teacher pedagogy to be shifted to further engage learners and develop seamless integration of technology-related instruction. ISTE Coaching Standard 4 speaks to instructional coaches supporting teachers with their learning as well as overall program analysis.
Technology coaches conduct needs assessments, develop technology-related professional learning programs, and evaluate the impact on instructional practice and student learning.
